In the past couple of weeks I had to get a gamertag for x-box because I needed an update for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. With that happy news I had to start completely over with my achievements so what the hell. I decided to replay all the games I have. I just finished Quantum of Solace and I started… yesterday. So here is my review.
Basic Plot: James Bond is at it again. Using your stealth, weapons, and information you are here to save the day again. You sneak through an Opera house, fight in hotels, and rescue airports. Hacking into cameras let you see what you have in for the level and using the guns helps you get through the levels. At the end of the day you are still blowing stuff up and taking out the bad guys.
Review: Sadly, I was kind of disappointed… actually really disappointed. There were no cool gadgets in this game like in Nightfire! No camera lighter, grappling hook, nothing (also you don’t drive, which I thought was so totally rad when I played Nightfire). So I think they tried to replace the cool gadgets with 3rd person hiding. In the third person you can lean out or kinda spray into the people who are shooting at you. So I am sorry to say if you are a person who loves shooting first person, this game is not for you. If you crouch behind objects instead of the leaning third person thingy, you get shot out the wazoo. I also thought that the game was too scene/level jumpy. By that I mean… BRAZIL, FLORIDA, DESERT, TRAIN, ITALY, AHHHH! It was annoying and the levels were not really that long, making the plot more bleh.
Score: 2 out of 5
